| Suppose I have more than five personal items? For a small fee of £9.99 per year you can record and list up to 100 items with photographs. If I pay by credit card – how secure are my details? We don’t see your credit card details, we use PayPal because it is trusted worldwide and is not connected to our site at all. I have a business; can I use the personal membership? You can, but we have some very special packages for business that you might want to consider, look at the business section. I am a Police Officer, how can I use ListKeepers in an official capacity? Register in an ‘Official Capacity’ and record your rank and station information. This will provide you with additional benefits such as extensive searching facilities. I am employed as Police Staff, a civilian within the Police Service; does this qualify as ‘Official Capacity’? Yes. The form applies to civilians as well as officers. I have found an item and it has been recorded as lost or stolen – what do I do? Firstly you need to register, we don’t require personal information. It is likely that there will be a police log number in the ListKeepers record. If you add the item as being found, you can send a message to the owner. We suggest you take note of the police log number and take the item to your local police station with the Log number and ask for a receipt. The owner can contact the police to arrange collection. Alternatively you can make a private arrangement with the owner. Because a police log number has been issued, it would be helpful to police if they were notified of the find and repatriation. I have lost an item – what do I do? You need to register but we don’t require personal information. Once registered, log in and add the item, you can then click a button for ‘REPORT LOST/STOLEN’. We suggest you also report the item to police and ask for a log number. A police officer may recover the item and search ListKeepers, they will see the police log number and contact your local station. When you have your item returned, please mark your entry in ListKeepers. How do I put a photo with my lists? If you know how to create a folder on your computer, do so and call it something simple like ‘photos’. You might also find that the camera software already created a folder. If you don’t know how to create a folder, simply choose an existing one and remember the name of it. Take your photographs; use the USB lead to save the pictures on your PC in the designated folder. When you add items on your list, click the ‘browse’ button, select the chosen folder and then the picture. Simple! |
